Community Engagement & Inclusion is hosting a Drag Story Hour for Adults on Barnard’s campus to stand in solidarity with drag performers and those affected by the Tennessee ban and recent attacks in NYC on Drag Story Hour events and LGBTQ+ communities everywhere. Community Engagement & Inclusion alongside our co-sponsors for the event: the Digital Humanities Center, BLAIS, and the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion want students and peers to know that we support and encourage drag as a celebration of freedom and expression. Additionally, Barnard is celebrating pride in April!
The event will be a welcome, joy-filled break from the final weeks of classes for Barnard students and staff.
Drag performers will read picture books, lip sync, and engage the audience in a dance and other activities from “The Dragtivity Book”. Light refreshments will be served.
We hope you'll join us! Be sure to RSVP!
The Digital Humanities Center is committed to hosting and supporting programming that reflects its core values of inclusivity, sustainability, exploration, and collaboration. For questions, accommodation requests, or issues, email us at digitalhumanities@barnard.edu.
